Join the Westmoreland Conservancy for our exciting series of Star Parties this summer at the beautiful Morosini Reserve! Gather around the campfire with friends, bring your own chairs or blanket, and don’t forget your tick repellent. You are welcome to bring your own telescopes, and local astronomy groups are invited to join in for a night of stargazing and fun.
Please register at www.westmorelandconservancy.org/event-registration
These Star Parties are weather-dependent, so be sure to check for updates on the Westmoreland Conservancy Facebook page.
Here is the schedule for upcoming Star Parties, all starting at 8:30 PM at Morosini parking lot #1:
- Saturday, 7/27: Delta Aquarids
- Saturday, 8/10: Perseids
- Sunday, 9/8: Saturn @ Opposition
- Wednesday, 9/18: Supermoon & Partial Lunar Eclipse
Please note: Cloudy or rainy evenings are not ideal for observing the night sky. Unfortunately, every scheduled Star Party in 2023 was rained out, so remain hopeful for better weather this year.
