PITTSBURGH, PA – In a groundbreaking move, CNX Foundation has joined forces with UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and UPMC Orthopaedic Care to launch the UPMC/CNX M.O.V.E.S. initiative, a program designed to carve out new healthcare-focused career opportunities for students from the CNX Mentorship Academy. This initiative, focused on fields like oncology and orthopaedics, is set to create new avenues for success in the healthcare sector.

UPMC/CNX M.O.V.E.S. (Motivation, Opportunity, Value, Experience, Success) is an ambitious program offering students entry-level positions in various healthcare roles, including radiologic technician, patient transporter and navigator, medical and nursing assistant, among others. This initiative is a significant step in exposing students to the breadth of career paths available in healthcare.

Dr. MaCalus V. Hogan of UPMC emphasizes the importance of mentorship and career development opportunities that the initiative will provide.
